3. Thanks to all who came to Chiledonia 8.8. Over £2000 was raised for those in need. Cheers.

4. New album. Today is the day when work officially began on the new ballboy album. It will take a fair old amount of time to get it done so early next year rather than later this year is more realistic, but I’m putting a marker down, a line in the sand, a flag on the moon to say that this is the day where it all began. The working title is I.P.M. but I’m not telling what it stands for.

ballboy will be playing a (very) short set alongside a whole host of other interesting acts at this benefit to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquake in Chile. If you can make it along to Oran Mor it would be very much appreciated.

Doors are at 7. ballboy on stage around 10ish (although this is a very rough estimate given the number of acts there are on the night.

London Popfest!

ballboy are headlining the London Popfest on Saturday 27 February, at
the 100 Club. Gordon will be opening the all day event with a short
acoustic set at 4pm, and ballboy will be onstage at 10:30pm. Advance
tickets have sold out but there may be tickets on the door.

The 100 Club is at 100 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1LL. Closest
underground stations are Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus. Doors
on Saturday will open at 3pm.

The London Popfest is taking place from Thursday 25 – Sunday 28
February with a variety of bands and events, for more info visit here:

Two new ballboy related releases on Pony Proof Records this week.

1. Money Can’t Buy Music – The Universe for Beginners We are pleased to announce that the Scottish/Swedish Electronic Folk Pop album by Gordonballboy and Maja Mångård of Sweden is now on general release. 2. Midsummer (a play with songs) – Soundtrack.

Midsummer (a play with songs) is a collaboration between playwright David Greig and Gordonballboy. It is the story of Bob and Helena and a wild Midsummer weekend of one night stands, drinking, bondage, music, hangovers, rain, lobsters, goths, gangsters, guitars and Edinburgh. It was first performed at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh on Friday the 24th of October 2008. Cora Bisset played the part of Helena and Matthew Pigeon played the part of Bob It was revived for a tour of Ireland and Scotland and has since had a sell out run at the Edinburgh Festival and at The Cultch in Vancouver.

The songs on this CD are the original versions of the songs that are in the show. They are sung and performed by Gordon and Lisa Bradley. More info on Midsummer here:

Ballboy at the Portobello Film Festival in London…

The Ballboy concert doc “Trying Not To F**k It Up” is being screened as part of the main Portobello Film Festival in London on Mon 7th Sept at 6pm(ish) at the Westbourne Studios W10. Come along if you can.
