This is just a quick reminder of the things coming up in the next month along with some exciting record news…
Next Sunday (July 5th) there will be another screening of the ballboy documentary “Trying Not To F**k It Up” at the Roxy Bar and Screen, London Bridge SE1 (www.roxybarandscreen.com). The film was shot last year at The Luminaire during the band’s tour of the UK. It features live performances and gives an insight into what goes on off stage. Gordon will also be playing an acoustic show and answering some questions on the night. The evening costs £4
On Sunday 26th July Gordon will play another solo show at the Indietracks Festival. This is a fantastic festival set at the Midlands Railway Museum in Derbyshire. There will be loads of great bands playing and you can ride on steam trains and play in the signal box! For more information and for ticket booking have a look at the Indietracks website:
Finally some exciting news about the long awaited Money Can’t Buy Music album “The Universe for Beginners”. We are crossing our fingers that it will be back from the pressing plant this week. The release date for the album is 7th September and will be released on Pony Proof Records. In case you don’t know what I’m going on about, here is a bit of information about Money Can’t Buy Music:
“++Money Can’t Buy Music is a musical project involving Gordon McIntyre from Edinburgh in Scotland and Maja Mångård from Växjö in Sweden plus anyone else that they can rope in along the way. They make story-based electronic folk pop about little things that happen and the deep deep feelings that they cause.
They released their first single “We will all asphyxiate” was released in 2005. “A The Universe for Beginners” will be their debut album and it is very much a “home-based” project and a labour of love put together over time.”
You can have a listen to some songs by Money Can’t Buy Music on the Pony Proof Records website.
